Sunrise to Sunset Plein Air workshop

Observe and record the changing light on the delta by making numerous small painted studies throughout the day while enjoying the historic Rivertown District of Antioch and its attractions; El Campanil Theatre, antique shops and restaurants.
Suggested supplies, portable easel, about a dozen small painting panels or canvases, painting supplies ( paints, brushes, solvent, container for solvent, palette and palette knife, rags or papertowels, trash bag) Something to carry your wet paintings in if working in oil like a pochade box or pizza box, a sketch book for sketching when the light is too dark or fleeting. Also, you may want to bring sunscreen, drinking water and pack a lunch.
Meet at Waldie Plaza 6am, 7 – 8 am lecture and demonstration, Lunch break from noon – 1pm, Group critique 7pm at the Lynn House

Mark Roberts is an award winning exhibiting artist. He worked as a background design artist for Disney TV Animation. He received his MFA in Painting at the Academy of Art University. Currently he teaches at Las Positas College in Livermore.
